Comfort Club

The Comfort Club. Two tune-ups a year. Predictable bill. Priority dispatch.

Why preventive maintenance matters.

Most furnace and AC breakdowns are preventable. Capacitors weaken before they fail outright; blower wheels collect dust and lose airflow before the motor burns out; condensate lines clog before the safety switch trips. A real twice-a-year tune-up catches every one of those before they leave you sweating in August or pulling space heaters out of the basement in February.

The other reason: most manufacturer warranties require documented annual professional maintenance to stay valid. Skip the tune-ups for three years, then have a compressor fail on a five-year-old AC, and the manufacturer can decline the warranty claim. The Comfort Club gives you the paperwork.

And there's the efficiency math. A neglected furnace loses 5–10% of its efficiency over five years; a neglected AC loses about the same. On a $1,800 annual heating-and-cooling bill, that's $100–$180 a year you're paying because the blower wheel is dusty. The Comfort Club pays for itself before the discount on repairs even kicks in.

How membership works.

$18.95 per system per month, billed automatically. Or $199 per system per year, billed once. Most Indianapolis homes have one system; if you have two systems (downstairs furnace + upstairs heat-pump, common in 2010s-built homes), it's $14.95/mo for the second system.

Cancel any time. If you cancel mid-year on an annual plan, we refund the unused months. If you sell the house, the membership transfers to the new owner free if they want it. If the system gets replaced, the membership transfers to the new system. No paperwork.

Frequently asked.

What if my system breaks down between visits?

Comfort Club members get priority dispatch, 15% off all repair labor, and waived after-hours dispatch fees. The $89 diagnostic still applies and is credited to any repair you approve. You jump the queue.

Do I have to use Northway for repairs?

No. Comfort Club covers tune-ups and gives you discounts on repairs we do, but membership does not lock you into using us for everything. Want a second opinion on a $4,000 repair? Get one. The membership stays valid.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel any time, no penalty. We refund unused months if you've prepaid annually. No hassle, no retention call.

Is this worth it for a 3-year-old system?

Yes — manufacturer warranties typically require annual professional maintenance to stay valid. Skipping it can void parts coverage on a $1,500 compressor. The plan also catches efficiency loss early, before it shows up on your bill.
